Our Story
Our name Tā is te reo Māori and in this context is a metaphor for etching innovation or fashioning technology into local businesses and leaving a mark on the international market. Tā is also a play on the word ‘Ta’ informally thanking someone when an item or tool is handed over. This gives a nod to our ‘number eight wire’ attitude.
Our Tohu - Logo
Our tohu (logo) incorporate tāniko and niho taniwha into the font. The word tāniko itself carries deeper meaning: tā (to etch, carve, or imprint) and niko, as in whakanikoniko (to embellish or enhance). This connection embodies the Tā Edge brand’s mission of etching innovation into Aotearoa New Zealand’s businesses and enhancing their presence on the international stage. Through the use of niho taniwha (large triangular patterns), tāniko serves as a metaphor for the precision, detail, and innovation that Tā Edge is committed to delivering.
